Trendy Tuesday: Nail Art

This Tuesday I thought I'd do a short post on nail art. Forget about what length or colour is 'in' this season, today our manicures are rooted in fun and creativity. Whole pinterest boards are dedicated to 'nailspiration' and trends straight from the runway can easily be recreated at the salon (or even at home!). For the last few years our nails have worn everything from neon, to pastel to graphic black and white. And there are cool new nail art salons opening everywhere to help our fingertips stay groovy at all times.

Here are some of my favourite nail art trends...

 The Reverse French
 + The Half Moon Manicure

Matte Polish

The Black French Mani

Glitter + Metallics

Graphic Nails

Neon Nails

I recently purchased a few new products to help my amp up mani. The I heart Nail Art stripers from Sally Hansen are great for adding a little sparkle or edge to a simple polish. They are fairly easy to use at home (the brush is very thin which is good for doing strips and dots) and they only cost around $6. I picked up the black and the silver, but I will definitely be adding white to my collection.
