Duct Tape Bunting Flag

Wait til you see how simple this project is! You are going to be like 'Wow, Shayda, you are sooo so clever and smart!' Most likely that is what you will say. Anyway, today I want to share a fun and easy to make bunting flag banner. There are only TWO materials needed: duct tape and string. That's it. Boom.
Bunting flag.

Here's how you do it:

Collect your tape and string. Choosing your materials is part of the fun. I used white duct tape and a cream coloured kitchen string, simple and understated...

but just think of what colourful things you could do with some oversized washi tape!

Start by wrapping sections of tape over the string. This is easier said than done, but with a bit of patience it's not impossible.

In the interest of uniformity, you may use something to mark the spaces between flags.
A sponge is perfect, but a ruler might work too.

In no time you will have a lovely garland of duct tape pieces.

Now comes the fun part, cut the bottoms of each tape piece to create the flags.

Cute, right?
I hung my flags on our kitchen blackboard.

Yay!
